Heavy rainfall triggers flood advisory across seven Missouri counties with multiple road closures and water crossings impacted through Thursday afternoon.

SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI β Flood warnings remain in effect across multiple Missouri counties through 1:00 p.m. Thursday as excessive rainfall continues to impact low-lying areas and poor drainage locations, according to the National Weather Service.

Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen across the affected region, the National Weather Service reported. The Missouri Department of Transportation confirmed flooding from the previous heavy rainfall throughout the advisory area.
Road Closures and Water Crossings

Current Conditions and Outlook
Flooding impacts are expected to continue throughout the morning, though no additional rainfall is anticipated, according to the National Weather Service. The advisory focuses on minor flooding in areas with poor drainage and low-lying terrain.
Motorists are advised to avoid driving through flooded roads and to seek alternate routes where water covers roadways. The National Weather Service emphasizes that even shallow water can pose significant dangers to vehicles and pedestrians.
The flood advisory remains active until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, with conditions expected to gradually improve as water levels recede in affected areas.
