Whole Foods reported fourth-quarter earnings results on Wednesday afternoon, and the most important numbers missed expectations.
The grocery chain popular for its organic food said it earned $3.44 billion in sales, up 6% compared to the same quarter last year. Its adjusted earnings per share was 16 cents.
The consensus estimate among analysts was for adjusted earnings per share of 34 cents on revenues of $3.47 billion, according to Bloomberg.
