Wet, wintry weather ahead as 1 to 2 inches of snow predicted for tri-state

NEW YORK — Snow is in the forecast and promises to make for a slippery, potentially dangerous morning commute to end the work week.

A cold front will move across the region Thursday night bringing wet weather with it.

Precipitation will start as rain then change into a wintry mix before it becomes all snow after midnight, according to the National Weather Service.
