England’s 2016 POTY
On Monday morning, the 2016 England player of the year has been announced.
The award has been won by Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana, who topped a public vote.
The Liverpool playmaker polled 39% of votes from members of the England Supporters Club.
Lallana will always be remembered for scoring the winner in Sam Allardyce’s only match in charge of the Three Lions against Slovakia.
The 28-year-old Anfield star also scored goals against Scotland and Spain.
