Warner Bros. Hit With Ruling for Buying YouTube Coverage

Warner Bros. has settled Federal Trade Commission charges that it did not adequately disclose money paid to YouTubers for positive Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor coverage.

The FTC says Warner Bros. paid online "influencers," including PewDiePie, "from hundreds to tens of thousands of dollars" to post positive videos on YouTube and social media.

Sponsored videos during the campaign were viewed over 5.5 million times, and Warner Bros. apparently told the influencers how to promote the game...
