Viacom Tries To Calm Fears Its Channels Are Losing Distribution

Despite a major earnings topper, Viacom (VIAB) stock fell as much as 11% Thursday amid concerns that its flagship channels are losing ground in distribution.

The MTV parent's chief executive said Viacom properties that appear on Charter Communications (CHTR) are now only on the cable giant's priciest cable-bundle tier, but Bob Bakish assured analysts that it was "not a broad re-tiering," according to Bloomberg.
