U.S. gas, oil production up in '19, says EIA, but gasoline prices will be slightly higher

The U.S. Energy Information Administration predicts U.S.gas and oil producers will break all-time production records in 2018, but the price of gasoline at the pumps is expected to creep higher, partly because of increased demand. Heating oil prices, which have already jumped, are expected to average 12 percent above 2017 levels. Residential natural gas prices are expected to be nearly 4 percent lower on average, despite a jump in exports and an increase in gas-fired power plants.
