UCLA survives Cal, clinches bowl eligibility on late field goal

PASADENA — J.J. Molson had not faced many pressure-packed moments this year. The sophomore didn’t flinch in the biggest moment of UCLA’s season.

Molson’s 37-yard field goal with eight seconds left secured bowl eligibility for UCLA with a 30-27 win over Cal on Friday in front of a season-low crowd of 50,287.
