Three Wi-Fi calling no longer requires a dedicated app in U.K.

British carrier Three now offers Wi-Fi calling without a dedicated app. It means subscribers can finally ditch the company’s inTouch app, but you’ll need a compatible smartphone to take advantage of the feature.

Three has offered Wi-Fi calling for a number of years, but it always required users to download and sign into its inTouch app for Android and iOS. It worked, but it wasn’t quite as seamless as the experience offered by rivals like EE and Vodafone.
