This Whale Installation Is Made of 10,000 Pounds of Ocean Plastic Waste

Brooklyn-based architecture and design firm StudioKCA created a monumental installation for the Bruges Triennial 2018 in Belgium. Entitled Skyscraper (the Bruges Whale), the massive whale installation was made using 10,000 pounds of plastic waste found from the Pacific and the Atlantic Oceans. The studio collaborated with the Hawaii Wildlife Fund to gather the plastic used in the installation over the span of four months.
