MILWAUKEE — A new juvenile detention facility in Milwaukee County is sparking outrage from those who would live nearby. The site has been selected but the sale has not gone through, according to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
Just north of an old gas station at Teutonia and Mill, Gov. Tony Evers announced the site will house 32 of the most violent juvenile offenders in the state. It’s one of four locations that will replace the troubled Lincoln Hills.
