Southern California Ski Patrol volunteers brave Pyeongchang’s icy slopes to help Olympic athletes

Look very hard and very fast at the edges of your television picture and you might spot six American ski patrollers who brave the icy slopes of Pyeongchang to rescue athletes of all nations.

These half-dozen men and women from Southern California are on the Winter Olympics slopes in 40-mile-an-hour winds with gusts approaching hurricane force. They are there through wind chills that plunge to minus-32 degrees.
