The South Wolverines girls soccer team snapped Dimond's unbeaten streak Friday night to earn a spot in the Division I state championship match.
South shut out Dimond 2-0 in a semifinal match at Service High to hand the Lynx their first defeat in three years.
Dimond brought a 56-game unbeaten streak into the match. The Lynx had gone 53-0-3 since their last loss, which came against South in the first round of the 2015 state tournament.
South will face Wasilla in Saturday's 5 p.m....
