Trenton Lewis, a 21-year-old single father, got up before dawn every day to walk 11 miles to his 4 a.m. shift at UPS in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Lewis didn’t have a car, but he knew that he couldn’t let that stand in the way of getting to his job. After all, he had a 14-month-old daughter, Karmen, to look after.
“My pride is strong,” he told CNN. “Whatever she needs, I’m the person who is supposed to provide it for her.”
