Singapore-based cloud coding tool shuts down despite having prominent investors

Nitrous.IO co-founders, a Singapore and San Francisco-based startup that aimed to reduce the hassle of setting up a computer for programming through a “cloud IDE”, announced in a blog post that it will shut down. No reason was given.

The startup had received US$7.7 million in total funding from well-known backers like Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin, Bessemer Venture Partners, 500 Startups, CrunchFund, and Golden Gate Ventures.
