Senate brings U.S. Export-Import Bank back from the dead

On a rare and contentious Sunday session, the Senate voted, 67 to 26, to revive the U.S. Export-Import Bank, which helps foreign companies purchase goods from U.S. companies. The vote overcame a filibuster by a conservative faction of Republicans, allowing supporters to attack funding for the Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im) to a transportation bill that is expected to pass in the Senate this week.
