Saturday Night Cinema: Since You Went Away (1944)

Tonight’s Saturday Night Cinema feature is David O. Selznik’s Since You Went Away, a beautifully made wartime drama full of lovely details about small town American life in the ’40s. The cast is star-studded. At almost three hours it is a bit much, but I like that much. This is the story of those left behind while our men went off to war.
