Red Sox notebook: Top pick Triston Casas takes a liking to Fenway Park

One thing’s for sure. The Red Sox will never have to worry much about Triston Casas’ launch angle.

The team’s No. 1 draft pick put on an impressive display of towering fly balls in his first batting practice as a Red Sox at Fenway Park before last night’s 7-2 loss to the Seattle Mariners.

Some balls the left-handed hitting third baseman hit scraped off the wall, others landed in the center-field bleachers or in the bullpens. Few, if any, worms were killed in Casas’ appearance.
