Price delivers again as Sox beat Tampa to soften Sale blow

On a day when the Red Sox took a serious hit to their rotation, David Price softened the blow with another strong start in a 5-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday night.

Hours after Chris Sale went back on the disabled list with more left shoulder inflammation, Price was sharp, particularly with his fastball. He finished with eight strikeouts and five hits allowed in seven innings. The only blemish was a massive 464-foot home run by C.J. Cron in the sixth.
