Person fatally struck by 6-train, officials say

UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan — A person was fatally struck by a 6-train just before 8 a.m. Wednesday, officials said.

The person was hit by a Brooklyn Bridge bound train at the 77th Street station, officials said. No identifying information has been released for the individual. It is unclear how the person was killed.
