Pan Am Games head to make $525,000 a year running Ontario’s pension plan

The man behind Toronto’s Pan Am Games will earn at least $525,000 a year running Ontario’s nascent pension plan.

Saad Rafi will become the first CEO of the Ontario Retirement Pension Plan Administration Corporation, the agency that will administer the savings scheme. In October, Rafi wrapped a successful stint running the Pan Am Games, where he made over $448,000 a year in total compensation, including benefits. He stands to receive a performance bonus akin to his $438,000 base salary.
