NYC airport workers plan strike

NEW YORK (AP) — Over 1,000 subcontracted airport security officers, baggage handlers and wheelchair attendants at New York City’s two major airports plan to strike starting Wednesday night.

Service Employees International Union Local 32BJ says picketing will begin at Delta terminals at John F. Kennedy Airport at 10 p.m. Wednesday at LaGuardia at 6 a.m. Thursday.

The employees work for Delta subcontractor Aviation Safeguards.
