Mutant daisies are blooming near the doomed Fukushima nuclear power plant

Four years after Japan’s Fukushima nuclear power plant went into meltdown, there’s life. Except this life is a lot different to the life that once inhabited the nearby area.

Plants are now looking much weirder than they were four years ago, with Twitter user @Sain_Kaidu taking snaps of daisies that are blooming abnormally. How abnormal? We’re talking double flower and four-stem abnormal. And these daisies were 110km from the nuclear plant! Imagine the effects on plant life and soil...
