Memories in the Making helps dementia patients connect with world through art

An estimated 84,000 people with dementia live in Orange County, and Irvine-based Alzheimer’s Orange County has developed a program to help them connect: Creative expression through art.

The nonprofit’s Memories in the Making offers an opportunity for dementia patients to create watercolor paintings that are framed and exhibited at events.
