Man pleads not guilty to killing mom at hospital

 NORTH HAVERHILL, N.H. —  A Rhode Island man accused of fatally shooting his mother in the intensive care unit of New Hampshire's largest hospital has pleaded not guilty and is being held without bail.

Travis Frink is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his mother, 70-year-old Pamela Ferriere. She was fatally shot Tuesday at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where she was being treated for an aneurysm.

The 48-year-old Frink was handcuffed and said nothing in court.
