KDHE issues blue-green algae warning for four Kansas lakes

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNW) – Kansas health officials say four lakes in the state are under health warnings because of high levels of toxic blue-green algae blooms.

In a news release, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment said the lakes under warning aren’t closed, but contact with the water can cause serious illness and should be avoided.
