Last year Israeli cryptographers Adi Shamir, Yuval Elovici and Moti Guri, from Ben-Gurion University, demonstrated at the Black Hat Europe conference how air-gapped networks — that is, computer systems that have been separated from the Internet for protection — can be hacked.
