Huntington Beach restaurant evacuated after bomb threat

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department bomb squad was called to the California Pizza Kitchen restaurant at the Bella Terra center after a bomb threat Saturday evening, Huntington Beach police officials said.

The threat was reported at 6:17 p.m. and the restaurant at 7851 Edinger Ave. voluntarily evacuated, said Huntington Beach Police Sgt. Jeff Goodspeed.

As of 8 p.m. police and the bomb squad were still at the scene and the evacuation was still in place, he said.
