Home-improvement retailer Lowe's (LOW) forecast a strong year ahead and topped fourth-quarter estimates Wednesday a week after Home Depot (HD) easily beat and gave a mixed outlook.
Estimates: Earnings per share of 79 cents, a 34% jump, with revenue rising 16% to $15.385 billion.
Results: EPS of 86 cents on revenue of $15.78 billion. Same-store sales jumped 5.1%, more than double the Consensus Metrix estimate of 2.2%.
