Get ready for a shock that sticks, as US Postal Service stamps will soon cost you more

Looking to mail something this weekend? Better hurry up, if you want to save a lucky penny. The price of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp is going up from 49 to 50 cents — starting Sunday.

The United States Postal Service filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) back in October of price changes to take effect Jan. 21, 2018.

You’ll also see 1-cent increases on postcard stamps and metered letters.
