Fuel spill discovered in northern Alaska village after storm

Agencies are responding to a fuel spill in a northeast Alaska village after a ruptured fuel line was discovered following a big storm, state regulators said Tuesday.

The fuel line was connected to an above-ground storage tank in the village of Kaktovik that contained about 4,000 gallons of ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel, according to an estimate from the North Slope Borough, which owns and operates the tank.
