Dryer’s place in the NFL record books might be the least interesting thing about him.

It’s not often that an NFL record stands for 45 years, but Fred Dryer still owns a piece of football history today. On Oct. 21, 1973, he did what no one had done, or has done since, when the defensive end scored two safeties in the same game.
