The Scirocco has always been an interesting chapter in Volkswagen’s history. The sporty wedge was the antithesis of the model it replaced, the Karmann Ghia. The MKI Scirocco was front engine, front wheel drive, and it had actual power. It was right angles and creases compared to the sensuous curves of the aircooled model. It seems like these two models only share two things: a VW badge, and slick Italian design.
