FBI arrests Volkswagen executive over emissions scandal

Back in October Volkswagen reached a $15 billion settlement over their emissions cheating scandal; it was the largest automotive scandal settlement ever. Now the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested a Volkswagen executive as he was attempting to get on a plane to Germany. Oliver Schmidt used to be the general manager of the automobile company's United States Engineering and Environmental Office until in 2015 he transferred to Germany. Related:
