C&L's Sat Nite Chiller Theater: The Innocents (1961)

Whoever had the genius idea of getting Truman Capote to adapt Henry James' The Turn of the Screw deserves a mighty "attaboy".

With Deborah Kerr as the governess and ably directed by Jack Clayton, The Innocents ranks as one of the smartest, subtlest and most cinematically astute horror films of its time, and holds up exceptionally well more than half a century later.
