Canadian government abruptly pulls out of fighter jet meetings set for Paris Air Show: ‘Everything has been shut down’

Canada has abruptly pulled out of meetings with aerospace companies that were planned at the Paris Air Show to kick off the Liberal government’s fighter jet competition.

Companies were told Friday that their meetings, set up for next week, had been cancelled.

The meetings at the prestigious Paris Air Show were being promoted as laying the groundwork for the upcoming competition to replace Canada’s CF-18 fighter jets. The Liberal government has announced it will purchase 88 new planes.
