BC runs out of gas in loss to Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. — Boston College’s plan against second-ranked Clemson was to take the game into the fourth quarter and hope for a break.

The Eagles defense accomplished the former only to see all the breaks go Clemson’s way at the end. The defending national champion Tigers scored 27 points in the fourth quarter and 20 inside the final six minutes in a 34-7 victory over BC yesterday at Memorial Stadium.
