Bank Of America's Q2 Leaves Lawyers Lighter Wallets

A rebounding mortgage business and less money in lawyers' pockets equaled stronger-than-expected second-quarter results for Bank of America (BAC), which more than doubled its profit. The Charlotte, N.C.-based lender earned 45 cents a share, up 137% from Q2 '14, beating by 9 cents estimates of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters.
