Another Top Chinese School Operator Misses Earnings Views; Stock Dives

TAL Education (TAL) reported weaker-than-expected fiscal second-quarter earnings, sending shares of the China-based private education company sharply lower.

XAutoplay: On | OffEstimates: A 10% EPS bump to 11 cents on a 62% revenue jump to $439.3 million, according to Yahoo Finance.

Results: TAL earned 10 cents a share. Revenue rose 68% to $455.7 million. Enrollments shot up 101%.

Outlook: TAL Education sees Q3 revenue of $411.7 million-$416.9 million, in line with analyst estimates.
