Amtrak's NE Corridor service halted after train hits backhoe

Amtrak's Northeast Corridor service between New York and Philadelphia is suspended indefinitely after passengers were injured Sunday when Amtrak Train 89, operating from New York to Savannah, Georgia, derailed the lead engine south of Philadelphia, according to an Amtrak website report.
