5 residents of New Mexico compound facing firearms charges

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A federal grand jury has indicted five residents of a ramshackle desert compound in New Mexico on firearms and conspiracy charges.

Tuesday’s indictment says the defendants transported firearms and ammunition from Georgia to New Mexico in December 2017.

Prosecutors say the five established a training camp and firing range in Taos County, where they stored firearms and ammunition and engaged in firearms and tactical training as part of their common plan to prepare...
