Missing Cary Man Found Dead in Overturned Vehicle on I-40 in Raleigh
A Cary man reported missing was discovered dead in an overturned car on I-40 near Wade Avenue, prompting an ongoing police investigation.

RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA β A Cary man who had been reported missing was found dead Monday morning in an overturned vehicle on Interstate 40 in Raleigh, according to police.
Raleigh police discovered the crash around 9:30 a.m. near the Wade Avenue exit on I-40 westbound. The vehicle had rolled over and came to rest off the roadway, officials said.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of family members. Police confirmed the man had been reported missing by relatives prior to the discovery of the crash.
Investigation Details
Investigators are working to determine when the crash occurred and what caused the vehicle to overturn. The accident scene was located in a wooded area adjacent to the interstate, which may have delayed its discovery.
