2 arrested in Wilkes County murder investigation

WILKES COUNTY, N.C. — Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Todd Timothy Beyer, according to Chief Deputy David Carson with the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office.

Daniel Dean Barker, 34, of Thurmond, is charged with murder. Kimberly Myers Kennedy, 41, of Ronda, is charged with accessory to murder after the fact.

Beyer, 46, was believed to have been killed in his home at 1365 Roaring Gap Road, Thurmond, sometime prior to Jan. 21, 2016, Carson said.
